Gymnast Connection is an online community where club gymnast can build FREE
private web pages for friends and family to watch their progress. The web page is FREE and easy to build. Gymnast Connection allows gymnast to post their schedule, track scores from competitions, post images and videos and MORE! Gymnast Connection will also send monthly newsletters to friends and family to keep everyone up to date. The Gymnast Connection community can link gymnast with friends, family, teammates, fans and the gyms. One of the parents sent us a great email about security on the site. I
thought it would be good for everyone to know the answers. Who can access her web page once she starts downloading information? All gymnasts' web pages are PRIVATE, meaning that only someone added, as a friend will be able to view your daughter's page. Must someone be invited by her to see her page, or have some sort of password to access her page? If not, can anyone see her page? In order to view a gymnast's page, everyone must sign-in, meaning they have created a profile and provided the same information. We verify a valid email address and track IP address each time a member signs in. If a member indicates they are less than 13 years of age, Parental Consent is required. I am especially concerned about creeps who might try to access the page to view photos. I understand, Gymnast Connection makes every attempt possible to protect our members, their privacy, images and information. The only picture anyone will see prior to being added as a friend will be the profile image. This image is used to help family, friends and teammates identify each other and request to be a friend. |
